This T5 plastic snap die set fits a hand press and sets size 20 plastic resin snaps with a 12.4mm cap. Use it for baby clothes, cloth diapers and bibs.
It has 4 steel pieces: 2 bottom dies that hold the snap caps and 2 cushioned top dies that press the socket or the stud onto the cap prong. One pair sets the socket half, the other the stud half.
Best Uses
- Cloth diapers and diaper covers: plastic snaps don't rust in the wash.
- Baby bodysuits, bibs and burp cloths: plastic snaps have no metal to touch the skin.
- Rain ponchos, wet bags and snack bags: a 12.4mm snap closes an opening without a zipper.
- Kids' pajamas and smocks, where a snap is quicker than a button.
Not For
Leather, 12 oz canvas or heavy denim seams: the cap prong is too short for thick layers. Use our 12.5mm or 15mm metal snap die sets there.

Sewing Tips
- If a snap spins after pressing, the prong didn't flatten all the way: press once more.
- Use T5 snaps only. T3 and T8 snaps won't seat in this die.

It fits presses where the top die screws into the press head and the bottom die sits in a hole in the base, like our cast iron and aluminium presses.

Plastic resin snaps in T5, also sold as size 20, with a 12.4mm cap.
Can I set metal snaps with it?
No. Metal snaps need our metal snap die sets, from 10mm to 15mm.
