Our cotton twill tape comes in a classic herringbone weave: natural cotton twill tape in 1/4", 3/8", 5/8", and 1" widths, plus 3/8" (10mm) colored twill tape in 13 colors, including black, navy, red, burgundy, kelly green, olive, camel, yellow, and turquoise. Use it to reinforce seams, bind edges, and make aprons, bag straps, drawstrings, and labels. We also carry black elastic loop tape in 100–150mm (4"–6") widths.

Braided elastic narrows when you stretch it and loses stretch where a needle goes through, so thread it through a casing instead of stitching through it. Cut it a little shorter than the body measurement, try the garment on, then overlap the ends and zigzag them together.
Round cord ties off with a tight double knot. Sew the elastic loop tape with a zigzag or a stretch stitch so the seam stretches with the tape.
Keep elastic away from high heat. A hot dryer or iron weakens the stretch.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between braided elastic and round cord?
Braided elastic is flat, 3 to 10 mm wide, and goes into casings. Round cord is 1 to 3.5 mm thick, for loops, jewelry and crafts.
How do I wash elastic?
Hand wash, don't bleach, and air dry. The elastic loop tape can go in the machine on a cold, gentle cycle.
Is the twill tape cotton?
The natural tape is 100% cotton. The 3/8" tape in 13 colors is 25% cotton and 75% polyester.
