From Our Workroom
The press gives the force and the die shapes the fastener. Each fastener size needs its own die set, so buy dies that match your snaps or eyelets; neither press comes with them.
Bolt the base to your bench through the mounting holes for steady pressure, and test on a scrap of the same thickness before you set fasteners on a finished piece.
The cast iron press stays put under its own weight. The aluminum press is lighter to carry between tables, which suits a small studio.
