How do I care for foil spandex?
Hand wash cold, inside out, and line dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron the foil side.
Can I sew it on a home machine?
Yes. Use a stretch or ballpoint needle with a stretch stitch, narrow zigzag or serger. Clip inside the seam allowance, because pins can mark the foil.
How is foil spandex sold?
By the yard. Multiple yards are cut as one continuous piece.

From Our Workroom
Pin or clip inside the seam allowance only, because pins can mark the foil. Use a stretch or ballpoint needle, 75/11 or 80/12, with a stretch stitch, a narrow zigzag or a serger. Never iron the foil side.
Like all foil finishes, the shine can soften with heavy wear and washing, so turn costumes inside out to wash them. Foil changes with the light, so the color can look slightly different on your screen.
