Lavender Stretch Rhinestone Mesh Fabric by the Yard, Crystal AB Fishnet, 65" Wide, 51" Stone Width

Lavender stretch rhinestone mesh: 100% polyester fishnet, 400 GSM (11.8 oz/yd²) and 65" (165 cm) wide. A crystal AB glass rhinestone sits on every crossing of the net across the middle 51" (130 cm), and the edges on both sides are plain net with no stones. The net is a pale lilac. The open net gives it stretch and makes it see-through. The AB coating flashes pink and green as the fabric moves.

Pairs Well With

• A stretch or ballpoint needle, 80/12 or 90/14, and a zipper foot to stitch close to the stones.
• Polyester thread in the net color (see our sewing thread).
• Our matte nylon spandex as a lining or bodysuit underneath: Nude or Tan for a bare-skin look, or a contrast color.

From Our Workroom

Lay out your pattern pieces inside the 51" (130 cm) stone area. The plain net edges on both sides have no stones.

The net is open, so plan a lining, slip or bodysuit under it. There's no spandex in it: the stretch comes only from the diamond net opening up, so it won't hug the body like a spandex knit. Wrap a length around the body to check the fit before you cut anything close-fitting.

A machine needle that hits a stone can break. We suggest pulling the stones off the seam allowance with flat-nose pliers before you sew, then stitching with a narrow zigzag. Cut one layer at a time, between the stones, with sharp shears. Finish edges with a narrow binding or fold-over elastic.

At 400 GSM it weighs close to a 12 oz denim, so long pieces pull down as they hang. Store finished pieces folded, not on a hanger, and keep the stones away from lace and fine knits, which they can snag.

Care

Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry. Do not wring, tumble dry, or iron directly on the stones. Rinse in cool fresh water after the pool or the beach.
