One sew-on glass rhinestone appliqué in Emerald, 24 x 9 cm (9.4 x 3.5 in), on a tulle base. The stones are green, in gold-tone settings. Large oval and marquise stones form a flower in the center. Chains of small claw-set rhinestones circle the round stones and run out to a point at each end, so the piece sparkles from tip to tip.

From Our Workroom
Pin the appliqué in place, or tack it with a dot of fabric glue on the tulle. Stitch through the tulle between the large stones and around the outer edge, then trim the extra tulle close to the stones. On this color the tulle is beige, so a close trim keeps it from showing. Stone placement can vary slightly from piece to piece.
At 1.6 oz (45 g) a piece, the glass stones add weight. On thin or stretchy fabric, put a scrap of tulle or interfacing behind the spot first so the fabric doesn't sag. Press around the appliqué, never over it.
Care
Hand wash or spot clean only. Do not machine wash, wring, or iron directly on the stones.
