🌿 Why cotton twill? The diagonal weave structure of twill fabric gives it several practical advantages over plain weave cotton. It resists wrinkling more effectively, drapes more fluidly on the body, hides everyday wear and dirt better and is generally stronger for its weight. Combined with combed cotton yarn — which removes short fibers for a smoother, more durable thread — this fabric punches well above its price point in terms of quality and longevity.

How to sew with this fabric: Use a universal needle size 80/12 or 90/14. Cut on the grain — always check that the diagonal rib runs consistently across all your pattern pieces to avoid twisting seams. Press seams with a medium-hot iron using a pressing cloth to protect the fabric surface. Pre-wash before cutting to allow for any shrinkage.
